Youth Sunday!

Youth Sunday

Thank you to everyone who helped with Youth Sunday in September!  The next Youth Sunday is coming up on December 29th.  Every time there are 5 Sundays in a month, the youth help with ushering, reading, greeting, assisting with children’s chat and running the Power Point during worship services.  Youth are always welcome to serve during worship anytime.  You don’t have to wait for a 5th Sunday.

Servant Events

We had a great time pulling weeds and blowing out tree pods from the Peters’ yard. Thank you for letting us help in your yard!  We miss you Lois.

Handing Out Bags with Laundry Supplies

We put laundry detergent and supplies into bags to be handed out at a local laundromat with a reminder of God’s goodness written on the outside.

SCRIP is an ongoing fund raiser that supports FGS Youth.  The purchaser (that’s you) buys a gift card from FGS Youth Ministry; FGS Youth Ministry gets a portion of the purchase, donated by the company of the gift card you just bought.  SCRIP is available from a variety of stores.  SCRIP is even available for Discover Card and Visa that can be used anywhere.

Please place your order by the first Sunday of each month.  Purchases may be made at any time, but if you need it outside of the “regular shipping schedule,” a shipping fee will be added to your order.  Or you may purchase SCRIP now, an e-gift card, with no shipping fees at all.  This means more funds are raised for the youth!!!

Discover Card

New retailers are being added all the time.  Check out for all the latest availability.

Black AngusKrispy Kreme

SCRIP is available to anyone.  See Jon at the round table outside the narthex after worship services (Saturdays too!) or e-mail your request.  Order forms are available on the youth bulletin board.  You can also search for your favorite company at  The donation amount that each company gives is also available there.

Thank you for supporting FGS Youth Ministry!

Click on the link below to see how SCRIP really can help with raising funds.

SCRIP Really Can Help

Pie in the Face

We not only raise funds for FGS youth, we also helped the youth from Good Samaritan get to Leadership Lab.  Jon took a pie to the face to raise funds for Good Sam.

Amazon Smile

Do you shop at Amazon? Click here to use Amazon Smile. This supports our church every time you shop.

You can also get SCRIP for Amazon. That doubles your impact by having Amazon donate to the church and SCRIP donate to the youth. And you get to keep the full value of your purchase. It doesn’t cost you anything! (other than the purchase of your item/SCRIP)

Smith’s Food and Drug

Do you shop at Smith’s? If so, you can register FGS with your rewards card. Every time you shop, Smith’s will keep track and make a donation to FGS at the end of each quarter. You get to keep all your points and coupons. Smith’s just makes a donation to our church based on how much shopping is done by our members.
