Meet Mrs. Leslie Baker

I am starting my sixth year of teaching at First Good Shepherd. I taught fifth grade for two years and when there was an opening, I decided to move to first grade. This is my 11th year of teaching. Before FGS, I taught second grade in Cedar City, UT and fifth and sixth grades in Somerville, TN.

I attended FGS for the fifth and sixth grades as a child. I attended UNLV before transferring to Southern Utah University in Cedar City. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology and then decided to return to school to complete my teaching endorsements in elementary and secondary education. After teaching for a couple of years, I had the opportunity to continue my education by adding a gifted and talented endorsement.

After many years of living away from Las Vegas, my family and I moved back to Las Vegas in 2004. My husband and I have 5 children.

I love teaching. I have always felt very blessed to be teaching in the schools that I have been in. I feel so fortunate to be able to share the love of Jesus with the children of First Good Shepherd Lutheran School.
