Parent To Parent
Hello,
My name is Jeff Jorgensen and I have been a First Good Shepherd parent for the past nine years. If my mind is still working correctly, I still have another seven years to go with my youngest daughter. In our first year as FGS parents, we were pretty overwhelmed with all of the activities the children had going on. I have been saying for years that it would be great if we had a “parent to parent” information guide for the new parents so they could get a better understanding of the importance of the events at our school. Well, I finally quit saying it and wrote these guides.
I tried to write this in a manner that would have answered the questions I had back when my oldest was in kindergarten. Hopefully, I have achieved this with a little bit of wit and some sarcasm along the way. If you know me, you will read this and see me saying all these things. If you don’t know me, come find me some morning on the playground. I am REALLY hard to miss. I am passionate about all of these subjects, some more than others. I want to help make sure that new FGS parents, and even the not-so-new FGS parents, have a resource to get some questions answered.
These are parent to parent documents. They are not official school documents or publications, but they have been read and approved by the powers that be to make sure I am not just running off at the keyboard.
If you have any questions, you can always track me down, and if I can't answer them, I will get you to the person who can. If you have any other topics that need to covered, please let me know and I will get moving on that subject as well.
