First Good Shepherd Lutheran School Home
Honoring the Past - Building the Future
First Good Shepherd offers a quality Christian education to the children of Southern Nevada and to families who agree to cooperate with the guidelines and principles of our academic and Christ-centered program.
First Good Shepherd Lutheran School is an educational institution sponsored by First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. It strives to prepare and educate children so that they might better be able to lead a God-pleasing life as American citizens here on earth, as well as to direct them to know and love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and thus by faith in Him, receive citizenship with Him in heaven.
First Good Shepherd Lutheran School is part of the total program of Christian
education in the congregation. It does however, accept children who are not
members of First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Since enrollment is limited,
children who are members have preference.
First Good Shepherd Lutheran School offers Kindergarten and the six
elementary grades in seven classrooms, with an individual teacher for each
grade.
The school is not equipped to serve exceptional children, nor is it an
institution for disciplinary cases. Such students require specialized care.
First Good Shepherd Lutheran School admits students of any race, color,
national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities
generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not
discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in
administration of its educational policies, admission policies and other school
administered programs.
